kapa haka trip.

To lean the teachings of our tupuna ancestors and the history of new Zealand native people and their land.

This week we went to the Auckland museum. We watched a movie. This movie told us what to do when we got to the museum.  When we got there we looked at the weapons in the Maori war. We went into the the whare.

After we learnt about some weapons we had to find two small weapons and two long weapons. We also found what the name was for the museum, what hill is the museum on and what is the whera. Then we learnt some moves with the tahia.

.Hotunui was the name for the whare.

.The name for the museum was called Tamaki Paenga Hira.

. The name for hill is called Pukawa.

. The name for the two small weapons are patit and mere.

. The name for the two long weapon are tahia and tefafa.

  1. Kia Ora Taua, I liked how much you engaged in the quest to find the answers of all the questions. What was one of the things you learnt that you found most interesting?
