Today I commented on Spelman blog post. It was about his fact find. The person that Spelman chose was The rock known as the Dwayne johnson.

SSR Selfie

For SSR Selfie I read a Book called When a dragon moves in. It when this boy build castle then the dragon moves in. The boys family did not believe the boy that he had a dragon. Then he let the dragon go somewhere. When the boy came back to the beach he build another castle.

Prototec

Today for maths I did a can do. This can do was prototec. It helps you on you maths. It for you to get faster at your maths. This is a link for  prototec because if you want to try maths.prototec.

Find a fact

Today I did a can do. This can do was find a fact.it when you find a person and you will have to find facts. I was talking about Martina Navratilova. She plays a sports with a ball and a bat. Can you guess. She plays tennis. This was my first time now about her. 

Arnie

For SSR Selfie I read a book about this man that makes his doughnuts into a dog. It called Arnie the
doughnuts. I didn't have a book from home so I look online. The online web site that I use was storyline online.

Descriptive Writing

For my writing I had to do a writing can do. I did descriptive writing.  It when you have describe a photo and using features languages. I described about a little baby that was eating cake.

Fact find

For reading we had to do a can do.The can do that I did was find fact. It when you have to look for some one that you don't no about. I chose jim thorpe. He famous Olympic man. He join the Olympic games, football, and baseball.

Maps

This week for inquiry we had to make a google map.  We had to mark where all the boats went.
This was hard because I had to find it on google maps. They most land next to Auckland.

My badge

This week I got a badge. The badge that I got was respect.  I got it because I respect my my friends.
I got it at kiwi can. I was being good and not being bad.

Kiwi can

For kiwi can we had a new teacher. His name was lilo and miss grase. Our theme was role model.

Then we played hammer. It when you get one more person.
Then you put your hand at the bottom.  Then the other person put it on top of your hand then you hand goes on top. Then when they say down the top hand goes down. Then when they say up the bottom hand goes up.

Then we played tik tack to.

Simple sentences

For writing I had to write simple sentence about a photo.  I had to practice. A simple sentences is a one easy sentences. We had just to do the simple sentences.WE are doing compound sentences. 

Cricket interschool

This week I went to inter school cricket. We played five school. It was stone field 1, baily road,  stone field 2,  Glen bray, and Tamaki Primey school. We lost 3 games and won 2. We came 4 place. On my last game I hit a big 6. It when you hit it over the coin. It not when you bounce and it goes over the coin. That is a four. I had a lot of fun.

First waka

Originally there were no people in New Zealand. The first people to settle In New Zealand come in a series of waka.

The ten waka are, Mataatua, Tākitimu, Tainui, Te Arawa,Aotea,Tokomaru,Horouta,Uruao, and 
Ārai-te-uru.  

The most of the waka visited the North Island. Some of the places the wakas land at, Te Waewae bay, Te awanui, and Waiapu river.

The ten wakes came to New Zealand to discover New lands for people to live.

Split a number

I had to split number and add it to the other number. For example, I took four from the seven then I add the four to the fifty six and it makes sixty. Then I add 3 to the sixty  it makes sixty three. What is a tidy number.
A tidy number is a number that is fast to add. Like all the ten.

Reading

This week for reading we had do can do.
I did a can do of Find a fact.It when you find someone and you find facts. I did Ma Nonu.
He is a rugby player. I have meet hit him before. There are facts about him.

Commenting

I comment on Rorasili blog post. It was about basic facts. When I saw her timerit was fast that I can't beat.

Kiwi can

For kiwi can I our theme was listen. We played a game. The game was coin it. It when someone say it like the game poppet but when they say coin it we have to try and get the coin.   Then we talk about listening. Then we played wispier kiwi can. It like chines wispier.

Rippa rugby

This week we Train with other couch. They were Ice and Ioane. First we played a game. 

We had to run to the coin. When you are there you past it back to the second person. 

You pass is back to the person on the coin. When they have the ball they run to the other coin next to them. They have to zig zag. Then we had to run around the flag. Who ever win get to stat with the ball.  Then we played rippa. The team were team Ice and team Ioane. Then when that was finish we play Ice and Ioane. 

Early NZ Exploration

 Kupe and Cook are two important explorers in new Zealand history.

 Captain Cook is a British explorer. Captain Cook arrived in New Zealand in 6 October 1769. Captain Cook came to New Zealand because to trade for gold. Captain Cook got to New Zealand in a big boat.
Kupe arrived in New Zealand in the 1100's. He travelled by traditional methods it he follow a giant octopus. He did this voyage to find new land to live. His wife name New Zealand Aotearoa after seeing mountains under the clouds. 


Kupe is important because he was the first documented person in New Zealand. Cook is important because he mapped new Zealand and oped ti up to the world to access. 

What is a compound sentences.

This week we extended our sentences understand to what is compound sentences.

First we watch a video showing how a compound sentences is 2 thought on a subject joined with a conjunction.

Next we learnt that FANBOYS are conjunction to join sentences. It stands for For, And, Nor, But,Yet, and so. We then tested our understanding by reading mixed up sentences.

SSR Selfie

LI: to summarise and retell a text.
I had to read a book for SSR Selfie.The book that I was reading was He ran because he love to run.
In the book it tells you where he lives what to school he learn how to run in the Olympic games.

Retelling a text

There was a kid that likes to run. He lives in Nandi, a part of Africa. He ran through the village. 

When he was older he joined the Olympic games.  

He went to a school where you learn how to run in the Olympic games. In the Olympic games there are events. The kid had to run 1500 meters.

Tessellation

This week we had to make a tessellation. A tessellation is when you use one shape and make a pattern. The shape that I use for my tessellation was octagon.  I made one shapes into two shape. There is and photo for an example.

Basic facts

I did basic facts challenges boxes. I did the speed up to 10. My time was 6 minutes and 39 seconds.
My last time was  6 minutes and 7 seconds. Next time I have to get fast at it.

This week I commend on Kruse blog post. It was about Explorers and Adventures.
On my commend I said what is a explorer and what is a Adventurers. I had a session  with my teacher about doing a other way of commenting. It when we ask a question and they answer. We have to try and keep the talking going.

Rippa rugby

AT rippa rugby we did the same training as last week but we played one different game.
I did running, learning, catching, and passing. Our couch Justice and Andrew. week. The first game we played was when we had to rip there to tag of. Next we played Rippa rugby. It was boys vs girls. The boys won and the girls lost. We all had fun. I can't wait for next

Thinkbroad

The task That we didwas thinkboards. We had to write a story problem about 75 + 4.
After that we had try and solve the equation. But first we had to practise.I did a number line to solve this problem. Lastly we had to explain how we solved it

Explores and Adventures

Explores and Adventures are people who travel discover new things.

Explores are people who travel to find new things and record them for the Community such as
Captain James Cook, Robert Ballard, and Moana.

Adventures are people who travel to take part in something for them self. Such as Sir Peter Blake,Sir Edmund Hillary, and Jane Goodball.

Explores and Adventures need to have or show many different attitude and attributes such as Thinker because  So then they can get ideas.

Both Explores and Adventures travel to new places and need slimier qualities although their goals are different.

Legal and illegal images

A Legal images is an images that we can use by that law.

Image creators give legal permission to their images by adding a sharing license.
It is import to use legal images to help creators and so users don't got in trouble

When you use a photo look at the licensed by the owner.

LI: What is a simple sentence.
This week we learnt what was a simple sentence was.
