Our word was motivation, and we used the 5 senses. The 5 senses are, smell, feel, taste, hear and touch.
In our poem we used complex sentences, metaphor, simile and abstract nouns. To help us write our poem we also used wordhippo to help find other interesting words. We used DRAFT to edit our poem. DRAFT stands for:

Metaphor A metaphor is a comparison of two things, saying one thing is the other without using ‘like’ or ‘as’. An abstract noun is one that refers to an idea, quality or state (you cannot see, hear, touch or smell an abstract noun). The punctuation we used was full stops and commas. Lastly, a simile is comparing two things using ‘like’ or ‘as’.
I enjoyed this activity because we got to create interesting poems.

Mistery
Today, we focused on writing abstract noun senses poems. An abstract noun is an existing that cannot be touched or physical obtained such as, happiness, sadness, and anger. Metaphors compare two things without using the words 'like' or 'as'. The five human senses are sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell.
For this task we worked collaboratively to create a poem using abstract nouns. Our group was given a list of abstract nouns that we can use to write a poem. The abstract noun we choose was misery. We used the five senses to describe what misery sounds, looks, tastes, and smells like while using metaphors to structure a poem correctly.
An abstract noun is a feeling or emotion that cannot be physically touched. A metaphor is the comparison between two things without using as or like.
For example: Happiness is a river of joy that is flowing through my heart.
The word happiness is the abstract noun and is used to create this metaphor.
The five senses are: hear, touch, smell, feel and see. Each of these five senses are what many humans are able to do.
A metaphor is the comparison between two things without using as or like.
I really enjoyed doing this because I got to work collaboratively and work together in a group and also use powerful words to strengthen the poem to make our poem stand out.

Creative writing
LI: To understand how to use descriptive words to make your writing more interesting.
Our focus for writing this week was to use descriptive writing, which means using words that are powerful, making your text more exciting to read and add more detail into your writing. We were tasked to work collaboratively in pairs to complete this task. Our task was to describe one of the two pictures that we were given. To make this task easier we would use our prior knowledge of sentence structures, nouns, verbs, adjectives, and descriptive words to create a piece of writing that uses descriptive words to make the text exciting to read.

Me vs My fear
LI: To recount a 5 minute snapshot of one experience you had at camp
Last week we went to camp at Kokako Lodge. My 5 minute snapshot shows my personal voice and I have tried hard to paint a picture with my words to describe what I was doing and how I felt.
I found this activity hrad because I tryed to find words that explan my fellings.
Me vs my fear
Finally, I can take on a challenge that scares me a lot. Once I was buckled up in the harness I was thinking in my head, Can I do this? Would I fall off? Is my harness secure. I watched my teammates succeed in fear so they gave me the confidence to do it too.
My legs were shaking once I touched the ladder. I was about to cry. I held on to the ladder tight. I looked to find the steps.
Soon I got on the beam. I grabbed the rope and pulled it closer to me. My legs were shaking like an earthquake . I tried not to look down because that scared me even more.
After I hugged the pole I went into the middle and did a dance. The dance I did was a dab. Then I lowered the beam. When I went down I was happy that I completed the challenge.
I felt happy when I completed my challenges and now I think I am not scared of heights anymore

Setting description
When discribing feel, imagine what the setting feels like. For example use adjictives like, ruff, and prickley.
When discribing sound, think of what you may hear or how the sound acts. For example use adjictives like, loudly, and bepping.
When discribing smell, think of what you smell in the setting. For example use adjictives like, smelly, yuck, and bad.
Setting description is helpful to people reading the story because they are imagining the place and what is happening .

Writing
When describing the appearance it needs to include the face, hair, clothes, body and useful words/phrases.When describing the personality it need to include what kind of person is the character, what do the character say, how does the character behave and what makes the character interesting or different. When describing the experience it needs to include where do the character live, who are the character's friends or family, do the character have any hobbies, talents, and more, do the character have any achievements or secret.
A character description also uses both figurative and literal languages.
Figurative language is unlocking hidden meanings. Literal language is a direct point and no hidden meanings.
The goal of this activity was to write a character description so that people can describe the areas of a character.

I had to find facts. The fact that I like the most was, they are found near the coast and all around the world but in warm water in the sea. Why because I can go to beach with warm water and go some where deep and look for tiger sharks.
