Pulley/ WIP

L.I To in this session we investigate the pulley and its use to lift heavy things.
A pulley is when you use a rope and a wheel. It make your work easy for you.
It when you pull something up like a cranes. I see it when workers lift it up with cranes.

Netball cluster

Today I went to the cluster netball.
I played five schools.I lost two, I won 2 and tie one. I was so hard when we played other schools.
We played 5 schools they are, stone fields, Pt England, Ruapotaka School, panama school, glen taylor school. I lost to Pt England and Glen taylor school. I won to stone fields School and panama school.
I was D and D sand for defence. I was good at intercepting.

I have been learning about Area and Perimeter.
Perimeter is when you count and add all the measurements of a shape.Area is when you is when you multiply the sides of a shape. The perimeter is the outside the shape and the Area is the in side of the shape.I had to write in the Area and Perimeter.
After that I could go and Measred other stuff.

I have been learning about Describing things.I had to do five slides. I had to write something in the photo that I can describing.

I have been learning about find the main idea. I had to find a Main idea.

Area and perimeter

L.I what is Area and perimeter.
The Area does not change because the amount squares inside the shape are still the same. if I cut it,
and move a piece the Perimeter changes because it shape changes the distance around the outside.

Incline plan

L.I To learn about what is a Incline Plain.
A incline plane is a ramp
For our task we had to make a ramp with different kind of materials like cardboard,Cube and a vault.
We had two challenges to finish the first challenge is to make a ramp in different kind of moving skills. Our Second challenge was when you car finishing going of the ramp is has to still drive straight.
We had to test these cars on different ramps.
I learned  how to make a car straight down of the ramp.

saving someone.

L.I To learn how to properly save someone.
For swimming I had to save someone.I used a noodle to pull them in. They had to say Help Help, Then I would throw the noodle to them while I was holding the other end.I had to pull them in using the proper saving position which it is lay on your stomach. We have to throw something in because if we jumped in we would put both lives at risk.

Fix my poster

L.I To apply the print design rules.
For Cyber-Smart we had to try and fix our posters with our print design rules. We had to fix our composition,Color,Layout and Text on our posters. The Posters were bad and our teacher told us that we need to fix the poster with the four main print design rules.
This helps me by fixing bad posters into good posters.

Activity. 
For the activity I did 4 challenges.
One was putting the Maori words for the same color words.
Next one was writing the alphabet back words from z.
Then we had to use the kiwi can catchphrase but we had to make it up different hand sign that mach the words.
Last was exercising. They were, 5 beer bees, 5 push up, 5 sit up, and 5 squats in a 1 minute.
The challenges part was writing the alphabet back words and the exercising.
I beat the Maori words color with the song because it can tell me what one goes with the same.

Today we had a speech and a poem compotition. We had a judge called Steven, who came from Tamaki College. We had 6 junior and 6 seniors. The people who presented the speech from my class were Fau and Sulia.

For the junior’s I liked Micela’s poem because she did humpty dumpty. I chosed Micela
because, Micela’s poem was funny.

For the year 4 to year 6, I liked Fau’s because it was about Mental health being.
I liked Fau’s speech because we needed to change our life of saying hi, good morning, and
good afternoon. I also liked in Fau’s speech that she used hands to act while she was
talking, and her voice was fluency.For the year 7 to year 8 I liked Jake’s becuase
plagiarism was a something that I learned today. I learned that plagiarism is a cheating
thing that most students do when they get stuck or do a test and look on other peoples
work.

I have been learning about wheel and Axle, and lever and I made a paper wind mill.
The lever is leverage to create a long body with fulcrum.
then I i had to make a lever buy using a stick and something in the class that you think that work.

I practiced Streamline and roll for breath, Rotate body on side for breath, Do not swing head around!, Kicking on back, and Breath stroke & survival stroke.

Streamline roll for a breath is when you streamline and turn your head up to breath.

Rotate body on side for breath is when you Rotate your body on your side to breath.

Kicking on your back is when you swim on your back and kick.

L.I Learning water safety
I practiced  Streamline kicking, Rolling, Freestyle, and Dolphin dives.
Dolphin dives is when you go down go back up and count to 6.
Rolling from my front to back makes me learn how to breather.
Freestyle is when you move arms around.
Streamline kicking is when you put your hand together and swim all the way.

Maths

I had to make a 3 D shape but make it stand with paper.
I use tab to make the cube stand. I had to use a ruler, pencil, and scissors.

swimming

LI: To learn water safety skills.

This week in Swimming our new teacher was James, and he was the teacher of our group. The things we did were streamline, freestyle, Backstroke, Dolphin kicks, Bounce and breathes and a couple strokes of our choice. The new skills we learnt were Dolphin kicks and Bounce and breathes. To do dolphin kicks you basically have to do the worm but underwater. To do the bounce and breathe you have to go to the bottom of the deep water blow bubbles and then bounce back up to breathe.  

3 D shapes

The shape that we made were all 3 D shapes.
The triangle prism has 9 edges 5 faces and 9 vertices. The cube is a box shape with 9 edges, 5 face, and 9 vertices.
Th Pyramid has a flat bout em on the sides it like a shape of a triangle.
The Pyramid has 5 edges, 5 face and 5 vertices.
The Octahedron has 12 edges, 8 face and 6 vertices.
